The short version

Vedic Maths does not ask for your name, email address or any account. Your progress stays on your own device and is never sent to us.

The app is free because it shows adverts from Google AdMob, on both Android and Apple devices (iPhone and iPad). The adverts are not personalised unless you allow tracking on iPhone or iPad (see Adverts below).

Who we are

Vedic Maths is published by Learn Logic, a trading name of Star Analytical Services Ltd, a company in the United Kingdom. Contact: staranalytical1+VedicMaths@gmail.com.

What the app saves on your device

To remember how you are getting on, the app saves on your device: your stars and best scores, your test history, your Daily Challenge results, your streak and your settings (such as the theme, sounds and vibration).

This information stays on your device. We cannot see it, and it is not shared with anyone.

Adverts (Google AdMob)

A full-screen advert may appear at most once every 10 minutes, only between activities — never during a lesson, practice question or test.

To show adverts, Google AdMob collects some information from your device: a device or advertising identifier, your IP address (which gives a rough location, such as the country), basic device details, and how adverts are seen and tapped. Google uses this to deliver adverts, limit how often you see the same one, measure them, and prevent fraud.

We ask Google for adverts with content suitable for teenagers. On Android, and on iPhone and iPad unless you allow tracking, the adverts are not personalised.

On iPhone and iPad, Apple's "Allow tracking?" message appears when you first open the app. Only if you tap "Allow" may Google use your device's advertising identifier to show adverts that are more relevant to you (personalised adverts). If you tap "Ask App Not to Track", you still see adverts, but they are not personalised. The app works the same either way, and you can change this at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

If you are in the UK, EU or Switzerland, a consent message from Google appears when you first open the app. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy choices.

Google's use of this information is explained in Google's privacy policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Deleting your data

You can delete your progress at any time in the app with Settings → Reset progress. Deleting the app also deletes all of its saved data.

To reset the advertising identifier used by Google, use your device's settings (Privacy → Ads on Android, or Privacy & Security on iPhone and iPad).

Age

Vedic Maths is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Emails to us

If you email us for help, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we do not share them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what information we hold about you and ask us to delete it. As the app keeps your progress only on your device, the only information we could hold is an email you have sent us. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here and in the app with a new date.
